1. Information We Collect

The Service collects email addresses registered by users, interested categories, interaction history such as read articles, likes, and not-interested marks, notification settings, and information associated with the use of the Service. When a profile is registered, identifiers to maintain login status are stored in the browser.

When using the mobile application, we collect device or other identifiers such as Advertising ID for ad delivery and fraud prevention. In addition, we collect diagnostic information such as crash logs to understand application performance and stability.

2. Purposes of Use

  • Providing, maintaining, improving, and troubleshooting the Service
  • Sorting and recommending articles based on user interests
  • Account authentication and recovery
  • Sending important notices
  • Analyzing usage and preventing unauthorized use

3. Use of Third-Party Services

The Service may use third-party services to the extent necessary for analytics, email delivery, article fetching, and AI processing of articles. Information provided to third-party services is kept to the minimum necessary for service delivery, and the privacy policies of each service apply.

The Service uses Google Analytics for analytics. Google Analytics collects information regarding user access status using cookies. This information is collected anonymously and does not identify individuals. Users can refuse this collection by disabling cookies in browser settings. For details, please see Google Privacy Policy(opens in a new tab).

Thumbnail images displayed in article lists are fetched from article sources and served by our servers. The user's browser does not connect directly to article publishers, and communication information such as IP addresses is not transmitted to publishers.

In the mobile application, Google AdMob is used for ad display. AdMob uses device identifiers such as advertising IDs for ad delivery and measurement, and collected information is handled in accordance with Google's Privacy Policy. Users can disable ad personalization through device settings (e.g., "Opt out of Ads Personalization" in Android Ads settings). For details, please see How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services(opens in a new tab).

In the mobile application, starting from the corresponding app release, users in the European Economic Area (EEA) and the United Kingdom are asked for consent through Google's consent management tool (User Messaging Platform) before ads are requested. Until consent is given, or if consent cannot be confirmed, the app does not initialize the ad SDK or request ads. Users can change their choices at any time from "Ad privacy settings" on the My Page screen of the app.

In the Android application, starting from the corresponding app release, Firebase Crashlytics is used for bug detection and quality improvement. Diagnostic information, including crash and unhandled exception stack traces, device, OS, and app versions, installation identifiers generated by Crashlytics, and ad load error codes, is transmitted to Google. Profile IDs, email addresses, authentication tokens, article contents, and search queries are never included in diagnostic attributes or logs. For unhandled JavaScript exceptions, the exception type and in-app location are recorded without arbitrary error bodies. Diagnostic information is not transmitted in development builds.

RevenueCat and Google Play billing are used for subscription and payment processing of the paid plan (DevPick Pro) in the mobile app. With purchases, device identifiers and purchase information are provided to RevenueCat for fraud prevention and subscription state management. Payment details such as credit card information are not stored by the operator or RevenueCat, and are managed by Google Play.

4. Provision to Third Parties

Except where required by law, the operator does not provide personal information to third parties without user consent. When outsourcing tasks necessary for service provision, appropriate management is required of contractors. For ad delivery (AdMob) and payment processing (RevenueCat / Google Play) as specified in the preceding section, device identifiers and related data are provided to the respective providers to the necessary extent.

5. Management and Retention of Information

The operator takes reasonable security measures to prevent unauthorized access, loss, or leakage of collected information. When information is no longer needed beyond the period required to achieve the purpose of use, it is deleted or anonymized through appropriate methods.

Profiles without a registered email address for account recovery and without recurring digest subscriptions will be automatically and securely deleted, including related personal data (name, interests, read/like/read-later/history, custom RSS, etc.), after approximately 13 months (395 days) from the last active date (last access with authentication token).

Storage location and international transfers: The operator is based in Japan, and the information described in this Policy is stored and processed on servers located in Japan. If you use the Service from outside Japan (for example, Canada, Australia, or New Zealand), your information is transferred to and handled in Japan, where data protection laws may differ from those of your country. The operator handles such information in accordance with the Act on the Protection of Personal Information of Japan and this Policy. Information provided to the third-party services in Section 3 (such as Google and RevenueCat) may also be processed in the United States or other countries where those providers operate, under their respective privacy policies.

6. Requests for Disclosure, Correction, Deletion, etc.

Users may request disclosure, correction, suspension of use, or deletion of their personal data held by the operator in accordance with applicable laws.

Immediate in-app deletion: You can immediately delete your account and all associated data (registered email, interests, article reactions, reading history, etc.) by executing "Delete Profile" in the Web settings sheet or in the "Account" section of the mobile app's My Page.

Requests via email for deletion, disclosure, etc.: If you have uninstalled the app or prefer to make a request via email, please contact us via the Contact Page or support desk (support@it-araiguma.com).

7. Revisions

The operator may revise this Policy in response to changes in laws or changes in the Service. Any significant changes will be announced on the Service.
